Book Haul | Where To Find It?

Ever wonder where you can get free books? Not just eBooks. We are talking about printed copies.

Look no further.

I am about to share with you my method of getting free books to add to your wonderful collections.

I have a thing for filling up my shelves, whether it is my digital shelf or library at home. Okay, it is a little section in my living space but one day I am hoping to have a library so huge that I will need a tall stair to climb to get to the best sellers.

It is practically an obsession.

I have been collecting since I was twelve years old when I purchased my first book from a swap meet. I dream of having shelves of interesting things to read. I was never picky with the genre. I just enjoy reading.

Let us jump into the topic now and if anything else comes up in the middle of writing this, I will turn it into another post.

Goodreads Giveaway

I have been getting pretty lucky with adding to both my kindle and my bookshelves by joining Goodreads giveaway. You simply have to connect your account to your Amazon and search away.

Every month, there is a new Giveaway. I have won a total of 56 books, both Kindle versions, and prints since 2015.

This giveaway is a great way to find new books to read and writers that you have never heard of before.

BookBub

This is the easiest way to find the free ebooks posted through different storefronts including:

  • Amazon
  • Kobo
  • Google
  • Apple Books
  • Barnes and Nobles

Of course, you’ll need to download the devices onto your phone or tablet to be able to access the books.

Amazon Direct eBook Sales

For this method, you will need to download the Kindle app if you do not have a Kindle device. If you do not have a device and would love one, browse the Kindle devices by using the link below. It is an affiliate link so if you make a purchase, I get a small referral fee.

This method is a little time-consuming but you can control exactly what you want. I browse about 400 pages every week for new sales.

I use to spend a whole day looking through the Kindle store for the sales but then I realize that new books are added weekly and sometimes monthly.

If you plan on going this route, I suggest scheduling about five hours on a Sunday night, grabbing a hot chocolate, and firing away.

How do you search?

  1. Click on the navigation to the left of your Amazon dashboard. Scroll down until you see Kindle books
  2. Once you see the Kindle store, approach the right side of the screen and click on the advance setting
  3. In the center of the page, you will see different options but I want you to click on the ‘sort results by’ drop box. Select the Price: Low to High
  4. Click Search

You want to avoid downloading the books with zero amount listed under Kindle Unlimited. Those are free to borrow books.

You want to look for books listed under Kindle Edition listed at the 100% sales option, which brings you to a free purchase.

If you are already using these methods, great! Would you like to leave any tips for anyone who is new to this? Are there other sites that you would like to introduce me to? If so, I would love to hear it.

Happy downloading. Talk to you soon!
